Eyes Wide Open

Palm Sunday is a day celebrated by Christians as we remember Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem. But the fanfare didn’t last long, and within days the cheering of the crowds turned to shouting, and the same people praising Him began calling for His death. Even though Jesus was the Messiah they’d been waiting for, they were blind to see it because Jesus wasn’t what they expected. It’s easy to look back on those events and think we would’ve known better and done differently, but many of us act just like the people in the crowds on Palm Sunday and turn our back on Jesus when He doesn’t live up to our expectations. Although Jesus came to earth and gave himself up for our benefit, we’re blind to what He actually came to accomplish. We need to be healed of our spiritual blindness to see our greatest need, Jesus! Join us for this Palm Sunday message, Eyes Wide Open, as we seek to see Jesus with fresh eyes.
